General Pace or General Disgrace?

Oh hell, let Congress censure me, but I'm an American citizen and I don't work for the government and I have a right to call it the way I see it. I have absolutely no obligation to respect the opinions of people I consider to be enemies of freedom and particularly those people on the public payroll who insist they work for an invisible entity not the taxpayers. I will not be bullied into worshipping authority or their authoritarian gods.

So when Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a Congressional hearing yesterday that our secular democracy should
"not through the law of the land, condone activity that, in my upbringing, is counter to God's law."
I have to call it disgraceful. I have to call his "upbringing" disgusting and I have to call the private and legal behavior of consenting adults none of his God damned business. There is no religious test or requirement for service in the armed forces and our troops are not required to bow to the beliefs of generals.

Screw Pace, screw his superstition, arrogance and his upbringing - and as for his god - screw him too.

Capt. Fogg,
So, now tell us how you really feel about this :-), hehe.

I think it's all a gross insult to Refafu and no laws should be allowed that contradict his laws.

Well said. It gets so tiring hearing talking heads like Pace and all of the other staunch "Christians" blabber on about how their lifestyle is pure and good and anyone who has a different lifestyle is a pervert.
Ofcourse we often find out that the perverts are the Christians themselves. I just did a post of crime stats in america. I would love to know how many gay guys were arrested for murder, rape, robbery, etc.

Those things are just crimes - homosexuality is a SIN

I admit, I had to do a search of "Refafu" and confess, I'm an instant believer - and couldn't agree with you more. This is what wiki.org informed me:

Occasionally, the Kombai may sacrifice a pig - a most sacred animal, only usually used to settle disputes between tribes and family. The sacrifice begins by tying the pig's legs together and taking it to a river side. It is then shot with arrows - taking care to ensure a quick death - before mentioning the three elements; Fire, Water and Air. The animal is then skinned and has the fat scraped off and offered to their god, Refafu. No women are allowed to watch this procedure; otherwise it will render the sacrifice ineffective. After the sacrifice, no one is allowed to bathe in the river for the next two days, as Refafu will be drinking the spilt blood of the pig - it is believed he absorbs the passion it produces.

My years of darkness have just turned into light. Thanks SO much!

I'm sorry to take this in a different direction, but I can't help but point out that the same God you're telling to screw off is the same God that acted as the world's most aggressive real estate agent for your people.

My people? My people are from St Louis and Yahweh is the same fictional Character as Allah who conquered more territory than anyone since Alexander and with more brutality. I don't know if Pace's god is Yahweh, the illegitimate kid he had with an underage girl or his pet chicken and I don't care.

Gods don't write the laws in the US and no US citizen is obliged to adhere to what Peter Pace's Sunday school teacher taught him was moral or to give a flying fart about his "upbringing."

The foolish one has said "There is no God". It is fashionable to scoff at God but believe me....he does exist and all will soon learn personally of his great power...you have been warned is all I will say.

No, that's not all you will say. You're too stupid to learn and only death will shut you up. Only idiots pretend to speak for god - that you get away with it proves there is none.
