And yet, this godforsaken county I live in, voted for every Republican on the ballot by a 15% margin. I attribute most of it to the high percentage of ex-military people who seem to be in love with every president who screws up a war. Maybe it makes them feel important - who knows?

What made it for me especially tonight was Obama saying: "For those of you who did not support me, I will be your President too."
Indeed. It's tough to put it into words, but it was beautiful.

Yes. The country is regaining dignity.
My section of the country re-elected a bad, bad man to the House of Representatives, but we DID go for Obama -- and that surprised me.
My county voted straight Republican - not one Democrat got more than 35%.
I'm flying the flag today - just to piss 'em off.
