Give it up

August ninth, 1974 - the day that Richard M. Nixon resigned as President of the United States. By coincidence, a survey released on the anniversary by Scripps Howard News Service and Ohio University showed that if the 2004 election were held today, swift boat veterans notwithstanding, the results would be quite different and Kerry would have won. The same seems to go for the 2000 election with Gore as the winner.

Now wouldn’t this be a great day for George W. Bush to have at least as much integrity as Nixon and resign?

You answered the question yourself: that would require a modicum of integrity.
