Iraqis will not “sit by with folded hands” while Israel strikes at Lebanon said the pig in cleric’s clothing Moktada al-Sadr as reported in the New York Times. Presumably Israel should always sit by with folded hands when attacked by Hamas or Hezbullah or so goes the logic of religious hate.  Of course, folded or not, his hands are already full and his arms too short to reach outside Iraq. His Mahdi Militia are under increasing attack by American troops and he needs to reinforce the identification between Israel and the United States in order to energize his unclean rabble.

Like Hezbullah in Lebanon, Sadr’s legions wield a lot of political power in Iraq’s new government and have been a primary cause of the wave of killing and torture against Sunni Muslims. There is of course no trace of separation between religion, religious leaders and secular government in these countries and one might argue that such is the inevitable result of letting religious insanity out of the bottle.

“Let it be known to everybody that we in Iraq will not sit by with folded hands before the creep of Zionism,”

That this man lives is proof enough of the absence of God.
